Last Minute Chic Valentine's Outfit
It's that time of year again where shops are decorated with love hearts, diapered Cupids and countless red roses. This year I may be finding myself single despite being in a relationship that might as well be pronounced legally dead. But I'm not bitter, it was a long time coming but for singletons and loved up ones alike, Valentine's Day can be an excuse to do something fun. Whilst randomly in Topshop on Monday, I mentally pieced together, what is in my opinion, a very chic outfit idea for going to dinner with a significant other or hanging out with the girls for a 'Sod It' night out. It is a Saturday night this year, afterall.

Hm, a pencil skirt and a pair of pointed shoes...These look like all the makings of a Captain Sharon Raydor outfit, Kazzie. Do they? What a happy coincidence! I hardly noticed. That just goes to show that even if you do wear this for Valentine's Day, it'll make a great outfit to wear afterwards when you're wanting to unleash your Inner Raydor. What can I say? The woman's style really speaks to me.
Ever since seeing this blouse on DizzyBrunette3's blog, I have been obsessed with it. I will own this blouse one day. It is so effortlessly chic and classic. It's complimentary to all types and the draped design can make it look casual or extremely smart. It's beautifully cut and the fabric - yes, I felt it up - is divine! Plus, Corrie looks so effortlessly gorgeous in it!
If you aren't into pencil skirts, you can substitute it for a pair of black skinny jeans - I would wear these from New Look - so that it'll show of those shoes. I can't get enough of the heels and skinny trousers look. It's pure chic. It reminds me of a more modern take on Katharine Hepburn's style. I know she loved the wide leg trousers but as I said, a more modern take on her style.
Whatever you're doing this Saturday, I hope you have a wonderful time and make it your own whether you're giving into the hype and being with someone you love or you show yourself some loving. It's all about the love, people, right?
