Ventures in Venice
While travelling, I tend to have a camera welded to my hand. It never leaves my hand and the battery is constantly bleeping at me about a low battery because I use it that much. On my recent cruise holiday around the Mediterranean, I snapped a lot of photographs and I thought that, today, I would share my favourite snaps from Venice.
Venice is truly a magnificent city. I only saw a small portion of it but I walked a brave distance in the hours that I had free. I crossed countless bridges and saw several landmarks that I will tell anyone that will listen how breathtaking they are to behold e.g. The Rialto Bridge and La Piazza San Marco. I took a Gondola ride, I went in a water taxi and a water bus. These two are real forms of transport and not a tourist gimick and such fun to be on. You just have to wonder how this place functions. To cross a road, you have to find a bridge because it's a canal and you just can't cross it. The boats that zoom up and down the water ways are subject to speed limits just like any other vehicle. The police go around on jet-skis! It truly is a culture shock and one that I thoroughly loved.
Have you ever been to Venice? What was your favourite part of it? Or if you haven't been, would you like to go?

Grazie mille, Chiara. The pleasure was all mine. My breath was positively swept away by every inch of Venice. It is simply amazing. It hasn't been the only place that I have visited in Italy as nine years ago I visited Naples, Genoa and Messina. Italy is truly a stunning country and I know that there is so much left to explore. ~ Kazzie x
