TUTORIAL || Steampunk Beauty & Miner Look

Another tutorial this week? Yep! Another tutorial and there will be another on Friday! I'm spoiling you! This is a bit of an impromptu requested video for a dear, dear friend of mine and she needed it toots-sweet. I did a little fiddling with my calendar - who am I kidding? I have no calender! I found this little window for her that would suit. She requested a Steampunk makeup tutorial that had the googles/dirty-face look. She wanted to learn how to make it look like she didn't use put a whole load of eyeshadow on her face. I don't know about how to make it look like you didn't do that because that's precisely what I did, haha. With this tutorial, you get a two-for-one, in that, you get a beauty tutorial aaaaaand a biker/miner makeup look too. Win!

I had so much fun doing this look. I went further than I ever have with this look. I used gold eyeliner. I did inverted cat eyeliner under my eyes. I even used gems! I didn't just think outside of the box, I freaking smashed that mother to pieces! I am so proud of the eye look that came out of me. I was infinitely inspired by the steampunk looks that I looked up on Pinterest and Google and also by Klaire de Lys, whose videos I have binge watched repeatedly for a month and a half. I feel like my creativity has truly come alive and that I can do this look and that I can bring this look that I have in my head to life. I can do this and this look really opened that door to me.

A little narcissistic part of me cannot stop looking at the photos from this tutorial. For once in my life, I felt that I looked good and, well, sexy. I feel like I actually suited this look even with my hair half up and my forehead on show. I really dig this look and I can't believe that I did this.

Bee-tee-dubs, I bought my goggles from Fresh Garbage in Belfast for £9.99. I was totally amazed at that price. I couldn't pass it up. I was just going to use a pair of sunglasses but as soon as I saw these babies whilst hanging out with the bestie, they were going to be mine. How cool do they look? I love them so much!

I hope that my friend loves this look as much as I do and that she has an amazing time at Dragon*Con. Love ya, girl!

  1. Oh my gosh, this is amazing! You really outdid yourself there. I am loving the eye look. Gold(-ish) always looks great on you. :) You could totally use that to go to a con yourself!
    Really, really great work! ♥

    1. Thank you soooo much, darling! I cannot express how much I love this look. I can't quite believe that I managed to do it and it was largely on the fly as I filmed it. I am so in love with it. The beauty of Steampunk is that you can steampunk anything. I may just repeat this for a con or Halloween. xxx
